Dr Rob Hegarty
Dr Rob Hegarty is our ICT adviser. He helps us shape our curriculum, advises us on our informations systems and helps us draw up our guidelines on internet safety for students. He is a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, and member of the future networks and distributed systems research group. Rob lectures on computer network security and digital forensics undergraduate and postgraduate courses. His research interests are computer network security, digital forensics and distributed signature detection systems. Throughout his career Rob has provided training on cyber security to schools, local councils, various UK and overseas Police forces and the British Army. In addition to teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University, Rob is employed as an external adviser by Salford University and Nottingham Trent University.
