Anil Sarna Lead teacher
Anil Sarna is a Spanish and Italian teacher, yoga and meditation instructor and shiatsu therapist. He has been involved in international educational projects for more than 15 years and currently leads a project in the process of building a primary school for 400 children in the village of Bhandarjhud near Rishikesh in India. He has launched and directed two languages schools in Spain and in the UK. He speaks five languages and is the father of two grown-up children.

Exam performance of students over the last 7 years has been consistently very high.
India. I initiated a service project in India to build a primary school with Oakham School in association with the Doon School, Dehradun, India. Together in a village called Bhandarjhud 50km from Dehradun we are working on every aspect of the school from the actual creation of the building to the staffing and fundraising. The school will have daily meditation practice integrated into the syllabus as well as community service and yoga. Since 2013 we have been taking sixth form students to work at the school. Since 2014 we have raised a total of £40,000 for the project.
Morocco. I have lead a service expedition to Morocco with a group of year 12 students, from 2011-14 to support a nomad school in the Sahara desert. The project was started at Oakham School. Over the years we took 56 students out to the project, raising more than £50,000 to fully support the school.

Designing and Teaching Courses for English as a foreign language using yoga, meditation and special communication and memorising techniques. Course took place in Rome and in Devon in the UK.

I have coached coach the girl’s football team at Oakham for the last three years and have coached the boy’s teams for another two. I have a level 1 FA Coaching qualification and am a qualified referee.
